What is data communication

By which method data stored in a computer is transferred from one place to another or from one computer to another computer or from one device to another device is called data communication. Moreover, the method of exchanging data between two devices through wireless media is also called data communication.

Basic elements of data communication

1. Source: The device through which transferable data is generated is called source.

For example: computer, telephone etc.

Disadvantages of data communication:

3. Expensive process.

4. There are no specific rules for data transmission.

5. Experienced manpower is required.
